As a professional educator, Emily Ullman has passionately advocated for positive change in urban communities for over a decade. Working with different organizations such as Harvard’s Cultural Agents, Massachusetts Cultural Council, and as a Director of School and Community Partnerships at City Year Boston she has worked to develop programming grounded in arts literacy for underserved populations, developed and implemented teen residencies in youth development and social justice, and worked to implement system wide change and provide equity, access and quality in Boston Public Schools art programming. Emily brings her experience working with school leaders and nonprofits to Salem Public Schools in her current role as the Director of Expanded Learning. She works to bring innovative, rigorous programming to all Salem students through school day redesign and meaningful community partnerships.
