Documentation is the practice of observing, recording, interpreting and sharing the processes and products of learning in order to deepen learning and make it visible. Within the project, we share documentation using Google Apps for Educators. Documentation may take the form of a collection of photographs, samples of student work, narration, or reflections from both teachers and students—all of which tell the story of learning. Documentation, together with authentic assessment, allows us to measure the impact of our project on teachers, students and student learning, and within classroom communities. The Program Evaluation and Research Group (PERG) at Endicott College, our research partner, works collaboratively with project leaders and participants to help measure impact and explain results around the model.
